“Today, no one like Bhai Mani Singh Ji is being born. No one like Bhai Gurdas Ji is being born. Why? Because the fundamental principles of Sikhi have not been understood. The very foundation has not been grasped. We keep arguing only on the surface.
What is this arguing? It is nothing more than sprinkling water on the leaves—nothing else. We keep sprinkling the leaves, yet the plant is not becoming green and flourishing. The entire garden begins to wither.
And let me repeat: some people have gone so far away that bringing them back will take a long time and great effort. Those who are still close are so narrow-minded that they try to turn Sikh Dharma into Buddhism or Jainism, or make it Vedic. Just as the Brahmin once refused to accept others, they too refuse to accept anyone.
This makes it difficult for this path of the world—this universal faith—to spread. And such vast, all-embracing unity you will not find anywhere else.
You will not find the name Ram in the Qur’an, and you will not find the name Khuda in the Ramayana. There is only one scripture in the world in which all the divine names of humanity are present. Guru Nanak Dev Ji not only accepted all those names, but was devoted to them:
ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਾਉ ਜੇਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਵ ਹੈ॥
